Is it possible to replace the UMTS radio (3G) in the phone?

I live in India. I was gifted a HTC Inspire 4G, from USA. the problem i have now is the 3G does not work in India, as the frequency of the UMTS(3G) network is different from that of USA. I believe the problem can be solved if I can replace the UMTS antenna with one that is compatible with Indian frequency. UMTS freq USA: 850/1900

UMTS freq India: 900/2100. I would like to know if this swap is possible, and if so, could you be kind enough to get me a guide for the same. Thank you.
