I replaced the digitizer and the touch screen still doesn't work. I read the other posts about it, and want to know if it's possible to solder a new "chip" for the digitizer on the logic board? Ribbons are fine, no grease or smudges. Connect is good, I can hear the click. Does it have to be 100% put together to work? If it's raised up a bit, will that effect it? any info on this would be nice.

You may not want to hear this but disassemble it and try it again. If the problem persists then the part may be bad. Let us know the results after this is done. Best of luck.

already taken it apart 3 times.
Sometimes the lock bar will move just the tiniest of bits but that is it. once it went all the way over and loaded the home screen but i accidently hit the sleep button.
