heat sensor wire disconnected

Trying to install new hard drive I disconnected, unknowingly, the heat sensor wire from the board at the front of the computer. I tried tape. A tech tried soldering it into place but missed. Fan runs all the time. Can I just get the board that the wire connects with?

Or does anyone have a better suggestion?

Charles Nix, so how did you end up fixing it?

I didn't fix it. The fan just runs all the time. What I have discovered through this and other repair attempts is that "cables" in the mac mini are horribly fragile and reattaching them is almost impossible--particularly reattaching cables from fan, ir, and something else (?) to the interconnect board. Tbe Ifixit is a great site. There is a great guide to tearing down the macmini, but it failed to caution about removing interconnect cables. It apparently is very easy to dislodge the sockets the wires fit into. I don't know this but I do know that I couldn't reattach cables and could"t find a guide to reattach the cables.

you could jump the connections, but you run the risk of the computer overheating. You could look for a fan control application.
