The power light flashes code: 1 flash then 2 flashes repeatedly

upon power up the power led flashes once then twice repeatedly. There is no other response. The set is a Phillips Consumer electronics, USA, mod # 37PF9431D/37. June 2006.

Options

John, check the power board for bulging/leaky capacitors. Not uncommon for this model. Also, check the power supply for open resistor at location 3318 see attached image. It is supposed to be a 470Ohm 5% 1W resistor. Hope this helps, good luck.
