My WIFI connection works just fine with my computer. I am not able to connect to the internet if I plug in a ethernet and disable the WIFI. I have been told by the Apple store that the port is not working correctly. I would like to find out how I can replace this port/connection
Hi, how did u come to the conclusion that the ethernet port is faulty? Is it loose. U can disassemble the mac and see what part u need. I would recommend to first rule out that this not a software issue and a hardware issue. Also take it to a professional for the soldering bit. Write back on what u did. Good luck.
John Savio,
There are a few possible issues here that you should checkout before assuming it's the iMac's circuitry. Can you give us an idea on what your connecting the iMac to? Does it have a link light that you can tell what the connection is doing? What does this device connect to and how does your WiFi connection connect (wired side).
Dan,
