Why can't my 360 run any discs?
My 360 can't seem to run any disc-based games anymore. My 360 can read the discs initially since they do get identified at the dashboard, but once I run the game it freezes up after a few seconds. Only one game has reached their menu so far before freezing. If it helps, a additional problem my 360 had is that the disc tray would always get stuck, but that was easily remedied by adjusting it with my finger for a couple seconds. Any suggestions and help would be very much appreciated.

Hi, seems like ur laser is becoming weak. I would suggest u clean the lens. Search on youtube for videos on how to do this. Watch a couple of them and u should get the idea. If that fails then u need to replace the laser, which is not that hard. Write back on what u did. Good luck.
you could also try a POT adjustment before replacing but after cleaning. Check on here and here for more information. You also want to consider replacinf your drive, since it may have other issues as well "additional problem my 360 had is that the disc tray would always get stuck, but that was easily remedied by adjusting it with my finger for a couple seconds." Just remember that the Xbox and the optical drive are mated, so make sure you read all the instructions if you should need to replace it.
