History

My iPhone could not turn off and its screen became dark on the edges when i tried to switch it off. once it did when i switch on while in power it only brinks with the apple icon and dark edges.it does not boot.please give me a solution.

Can we have some more details? Did anything happen right before it stopped working? I assume it is charged, try plugging it into power and try booting up again. Sorry I can't be more help, but I don't have much to work with. Thanks!

Reset, hold both the Home and Power buttons until the iPhone restarts itself, usually takes about 10 seconds of holding both buttons. If the Reset does not work then, Put iPhone in DFU Mode and Restore the Firmware with iTunes. DFU Mode Steps: Open iTunes on computer, connect iPhone to computer with USB Cable. Hold both Home and Power buttons for exactly 10 seconds, then release the Power button, keep holding the Home button until iTunes recognizes the iPhone in Recovery Mode, usually about 20 seconds of holding Home button. If the iPhone screen is black, blank this is DFU Mode. Click the Restore button of iTunes. If any error messages are given write them down.

Attempt the Reset a couple of times to see if you can get it working with just the Reset. If nothing, then attempt DFU Mode Restore.

Brad,

thanks brad. I however tried to restore it in recovery method and DFU mode but it gives me an error 21.what do I do?
