So initially I only had a problem with the microphone and was limited to making calls on speakerphone if I wanted the person on the other end to hear me. With a little bit of research online, I discovered that I needed to replace the charging dock port connector. Ordered one, installed it, and the microphone problem was solved!

However, the home button no longer worked, and as I discovered later in the day when my battery dropped under 20%, my phone would not charge. I figured maybe the charging dock port was faulty and the maybe the home button ribbon had been damaged in the repair process, so I ordered both. Well, I just finished installed both items and the problem persists. What do I do? I'm completely frustrated (not to mention phone-less).
