Trying to restore, error code 1601

History

So I bought an iPod touch that would not turn on. I connected to iTunes and put into DNU mode and tried to restore it, I got the error code 1601. I then used the software ireb and tried recovering it with IOS firmware and got the same error.

Anyone know how to get round this?

lachlanfuller, check on the answer from here and check the solution on this one. and of course you also want to try another USB port, another cable, and another computer to make 100% certain and see if if this will help. Hope this helps, good luck.
