How to configure ssd as a first drive

History

Hi, I´m going to install a SSD in my Imac 24 inch 9,1 ( early 2009 ) replacing optical unit and use the HDD as a second unit.

How I Should format SSD to install mountain lion for use it as a system unit?? Should I put TRIM enabled??

Will lost speed if I will install SSD replacing Opitcal unit? or Its better to install SSD in HDD place and keep optical unit?

Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english.

Thanks, and what about configuration to use SSD as a system unit??

Pedro,

Once you have the SSD installed and install a working OS on it, all you need to do is go into the startup pref settings and select it as the boot volume (system), and restart.
