Why does iPod 4th generatiom go tolue screen after I updated

I updated my ipod 4th generation and my ipod then restarted. then the screen showed ipod apple for ten seconds then the screen goes sky blue until the battery dies. i reastarted it many times and it doesnt work

how do i fix it without taking it in?
