How do I replace the light in my iPhone 3GS

When i was out biked i lost my iPhone in a pothole i have cleaned it and everything work except the ligt in the iPhone, i can`t se anything on the iphone but everything else works. So my question is how to replace the light in the iPhone so i can use it again.

Lars, in order to get your light to work again, there are a few possibilities. The first one, and that is where I would start with, is to disassemble your iPhone. Take a look at all the connectors and make sure that the cables are properly seated. If they are, you may have to change the LCD, since that is the part that lights up. If by any chance it still does not work, you may need a new backlight coil (or a backlight IC) which is soldered onto the logic board. Hope this helps, good luck.
