keyboard commands not recognized on boot
Imac 2308 boots up to folder with question mark in it.
Wired or wireless keyboard commands do not work at all.

The folder with a question mark means the computer cannot find an operating system. Your hard drive may be bad or just need you to reinstall the operating system. Link provided to ifixit guide.
