VERTICAL RED LINE (ONE) single one.

hello, i HAVE a mac book pro, 2011 edition, this afternoon, while working on my laptop i find out a vertical red line (one), please can this be solve ,it only appear on dark backgrounds and not on white screens.
i only have one vertical red line on my mac, and it does start today, i want to know if this problem could get worsen or i should think of fixing it up, cos my warrant got expired 2 months ago ...
please someone reply please...
