Cable #5-How to reconnect it

I recently got an iPhone 3G from a friend. Since the battery was well-used I decided to replace it. I used this website to have a step-by-step guide and everything went fine, but now I cannot reconnect cable #5. The phone will not even turn on, and I am confused as to why. Can someone help me?
