Broken Vibrator - after replacement

The vibrate on my phone is broken. Turning the ringer switch notifies me that I am switching it into vibrate mode but no vibrate occurs. I checked in the settings to make sure that vibrate wasn't switched off.
I replaced the vibrate motor in it twice (thought the first was DOA). Also, my headphone jack is working just fine so there is definitely power going to the vibrator.
Any suggestions???
