How should I go about fixing a water damaged 3GS?
I bought this phone on Ebay, and the seller said he dropped it in water. All the water indicator are red, but I didn't see any signs of corrosion. I cleaned all of the connections and the entire logic board with isopropyl just in case, and I replaced the battery. However, the phone still will not turn on, and my computer made no response when it was connected to it. Is there any way I can run tests on it to find out specifically what is not working, or are there other things I haven't tried?

Jon, plug your iPhone into an AC adapter and see what you get. It is possible that you are having battery/power issues. the AC adapter will supply a few more mA than your USB ports. Double check your cable as well as your logic board. If all of those check out okay, get your multimeter out and check for incoming power on your dock connector as well as your battery contacts. It is possible that you dock connector was shortened out and may need replacement. Check for corroded, broken, bent pins. Of course, also check your fuses for continuity. Hope this helps, good luck.

It says "charging fuse, link to test". Does this mean that I should use contact all 4 of them to each other? I also read something that says the fuses can be reset. How is this done? You have a number of different voltages listed on the top picture. Should I test each one of these voltages? And if so, I can't exactly see the contact points in the picture. Are they just located on the edges of the small rectangular blocks on the board?
