Battery drain and new battery doesn't fix it

I have an iPhone 4 for Sprint. Phone works fine, but the battery drains super fast. I bought it from a local person and have not activated it on a Sprint plan yet. I installed a replacement battery from ifixit~ but it didn't fix the problem. Did a factory reset and updated it to ios 6. Not sure what to try next.
