Home Button Without Replacing Cable

I want to switch colors of my digitizer. The kit I am looking at just has the button not the whole Home Button Assembly. How is this button held on to the cable, the standard adhesive they use to hold other parts on? Do you remove the button with a heat gun? TIA

Yes, it is held by the standard double-sided adhesive that Apple uses in many places of the iPhone. Gentle use of a heat gun can be used but is not necessary. Just carefully pry the Home Button part you touch from the Ribbon part.
