Replacement Battery not charging but charging logo is on

History

Hello guys,great site many useful tips and guides.

Really need your help.

I destroyed my last battery so bought a brand new one.

I installed it just like the sites guide and i was glad to see my device on and with 50% battery.so i guessed everything went great!then tried to charge the phone but i saw that it wouldnt charge despite the charging logo and the sound notification when i plugged it!any ideas?now my battery is 20% and will die in a few hours and wont be able to turn on the phone so any help might be vital!

Romas9, I think it's a software issue. Make a backup on iTunes, then put your phone on DFU (see youtube) and restore your phone.

I just went through the same thing, new battery => not charging, no wifi, ... lots of troubleshooting. Nothing. Put the old battery in ... all works normal.

Ifixit is sending another which hopefully will work, and not be from some larger defective batch.
