Repaired Glass - Bad Connections Inside?

History

We just replaced a broken screen on an Iphone 4 using a kit bought online that had good reviews, and following instructions found online. Everything seemed to go well, but we cleaned some connections with isopropyl alcohol, then found some warnings against cleaning. The repair did not work. Is there a way to "undo" cleaning the connections ?

What else could be the problem ? We've openend it back up & nothing seems to be wrong. The phone does ring when you call it, but the screen does not display anything.

Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone restarts itself. See if it works. Recheck your work. The LCD Connector to the Logic Board may not be connected perfectly. This is the thicker flex cable. If you are sure your work is perfect. Then the New Screen is probably faulty and needs to be returned. If you want to check the iPhone, if your Old Screen LCD still functions you could reconnect it just to check.

Thanks for the reply. Nothing displays when we try the reset. Everything went back normally, so it seemed. Double checked a couple of times. I guess the screen is defective.
