Making iPod touch in 3G capable

Yoison apple peel endows the iPod touch with network and 3g capabilities -> Yoison

Pros: Gives iPod touch more functionality

Cons: That casing is ugly

Question: Is it possible to strip down Yoison casing for its essential components and install them in iPod to give it 3G capabilities?

That is to say: open up iPod and stuff the components inside to make the iPod truly 3G capable?

If we don't use Yoison, what are the essential components required to bring an iPod to 3G life?
