hard drive upgrade for MacBook Pro 2.4Ghz

History

I see the new 640GB HD for the MacBook Pro. does it require any drivers or firmware to see the whole memory or is it seen by snow leopard anyway?

No, it's "plug and play" if it's the right drive, the OS will "see" it just fine.

Once you install it you will need to start up from your installation disk, "C" key, on the second screen go to Utilities - "disk utilities" and format the drive and then install the system.
