Why won't my phone charge with the back plate on?

History

Hi, I replaced my battery today. It charges but only when the back plate isn't attached. The moment I latch the back plate onto the phone, it stops charging. Does anybody know what I can do?

back plate? do you mean the rear housing?

Yea, the rear panel which has the apple logo on it.

Well... It may be that when you replace the rear panel, the 30 pin connector is disturbed. Make sure the connector,(Connecting it to the logic board) is fully plugged in and is snug. Hope I could help, and happy repairing.
