Screen goes black when pressure is applied to top-left corner

Hi All,
I've got an iPhone 3G that I've used on and off for the last 2.5 years. I've decided to try and fix it as at the moment I can't use it as my main phone as it's prone to shutting gong a bit crazy at times.
Anyway, when I apply pressure to the top-left corner of the device the screen goes black. Pressing the power button returns to the lock screen and the phone works as normal, until I apply pressure again. Sometimes, using the volume rocker (usually volume down, but sometimes up) will also make it go black. This is more annoying. Any thoughts on what parts I may need to replace to fix this issue? Here is a link to a video I made of the problem.

The GPS hasn't worked for about 1.5 years, it never gets a lock. The connection 6 may be loose or it might need a new antenna, I'll check it when I install my new battery later this week.
Thanks in advance for any help on either issue!
Regards,
Sam
