Why did my phone come back on with a blank blue screen?

I took my iphone 4 apart to try to fix the on/off lock button everything came off easy and went back on easy didnt miss anything but didnt get to fix the button i guess i need a new one so it stayed the same just now i have a blue screen. i need help with this thanks.
never mind i got it...i cracked a small tiny corner of the screen.
