2 gen Touch screen and bezel fit 3 gen?

History

Hi i was wondering if you guys can help me? I have a an 8gb iPod touch 3rd gen with a cracked touch screen and i wanna know if the 2nd gen touch screen and bezel will work?

Yes, the 3rd gen 8gb is identical to the 2nd gen.

So I can purchase a 2gen touch screen and it will work perfectly?

Yes, but only with the 8GB 3rd gen.
