Can I purchase the AG display and replace my glossy screen with it? Would there be any problems/things I should look out for? thanks

It depends... If you look at the specs for your system and what Apple sold with the high res display do you have the same GPU and memory? if not I don't think it will work correctly.

It might be cheaper just getting a new unit and less risky.
