Installed new housing in iPhone but now the screen only appears White.

History

I recently bought a new housing for my iPhone 3GS. But after installing I noticed a piece of the logic board (external ground of metal bezel) fell off. Now everything works except the digitizer and LCD screen only displays white. I bought a new LCD display screen but it's still a White screen. What could be wrong with it. I already did the home button resets and restored it thought iTunes. The iPhone is recognized by the computer.

Thank you for your help everyone.

Thanks for responding. What you think could have happen to cause a faulty logic board it was working fine before I changed the housing.

Steve,

iPhone 3GS, of all the iPhones, is very vulnerable to electric surge damage to LCD or Logic Board LCD controllers when powered ON when connecting the LCD to Logic Board. So with with all iPhone repair, but especially the iPhone 3GS the iPhone should be powered OFF before and during all repairs.

The two problem areas for White Screen are the LCD Display and the Logic Board LCD Circuitry. If you have Reset, Restored, and replaced the Display LCD the only thing left is faulty Logic Board. It could be the #1 connector on Logic Board to the Display controllers on the Logic Board. This will be a difficult to impossible fix even for the most experienced repair persons.
