Got iPod wet in a race, it won't come on!

Hello,
4 days ago my hubby & I were in a Road Race, & I got my iPod wet from people sprinkling the hot runners with a garden hose a couple of times. I had no way to dry it off, as I was soaked running 13.1 miles, & the iPod just shut off! I put it in rice several hours later when I got home, & left it there for 3 days, & just now used our blow-dryer on it, plus I tried to charge it. Still nothing!!!! What do I do next? I just bought this last year in May. It's the small, touch screen, iPod Nano I think.
