Broke digitizer, problems disassembling

History

Well I've looked at all the guides/videos out there I can find for the 3G. They all say the digitizer and the LCD are suppose to come off as one piece. I pulled the 2 bottom screws from the dock connector and used a suction cup at the bottom of the digitizer. However, the digitizer came off by itself, I'm not sure how to proceed. I appreciate any help provided! Thanks!

sounds strange, normally the lcd srewed on to the digitizer. what baybe could have happend is the glass seperated from the plastic bezel. what do you see when you open it? just the lcd or a plastic bezel? did the homebutton lift up when you removed the digitizer?
