Replaced motor phone not vibrating

History

recently my phone stopped vibrating, after replacing vibrating motor it worked for about a month and stopped again. i ordered another motor and replaced. phone still doesn't vibrate. thinking it's a bad part i ordered another one but it didn't work either.

got a friend with iphone 4 and used his motor in my phone, no luck. put the motor back into his phone and it works fine.

what else could it be that prevents my phone from vibrating?

please help.

Possibly faulty Headphone Jack Cable. When you flip the Mute/Vibrate Switch do you get screen response?

Sometimes the mute toggle can still work but the 2 contact pads for the vibrator don't work. Id recommend replacing the headphone jack aswell.

ReekoB,

yes, when i flip Mute/Vibrate i do see screen response.

alxg000,

Then I would go with ReekoB recomendation and replace the Headphone Jack Flex cable. He says even with screen response the Flex Contacts may not be providing the necessary power.
