Repaired after waterdamage. iPhone works, but very slow.

History

Hey guys,

My brother went for a swim with his Iphone 4, in his pocket.

He went to a repairshop and they 'fixed' it. But here's the problem now, everything works, but 10 times slower as usual.

It takes up to 4 minutes to get things started, 4 minutes to open messages, ..

Any idea what the problem might be in this situation?

Hi,

Did the battery get replaced? The repairshop should have as the battery might die later on. I would recommend also a complete restore in iTunes. This tends to fix most hidden problems.
