Screen won't work but the phone lights up.

I tried a home repair for a cracked screen. After not pulling the flex cable through and creasing it, that screen doesn't work anymore. After a failed attempt I took it to a local mob who told me they tried 3 different screen apparently the actual logic board connector is broken. Not to mention they charged me $180 to tell me it won't work. I'm wondering if anyone has in counted this problem and how to fix it?
