Leftover part after home button repair

Hi,

I just changed the home button on my iPhone 4. It was successful, but there are one part that i can't figure out where to fit. It is a small rubber piece approx. 1 cm, and has a groove along its length.

Does anyone know if it's important to get it installed, or not?

This rubber cushion, is it an important part, or could i just continue to use the phone without it?

This is the rubber cushion that is placed at top of logic board, under the two flex cables of the front display.

Ok :-/ Is it a important part, or could i just continue to use the phone without it?

it is not that important part. You can use your phone without it.
