HI all,

I have some serious issues. A while back someone smashed my screen so i got it replaced by a non Apple repair mob. New screen worked fine for at least a year, then phone fell onto carpet blanking my screen on and off sometimes. Ie the screen would work then randomly not work. This infrequent blanking increased to the point where i replaced the screen myself with a new one off ebay.

Last night I started up the phone with the new screen and it started up all white with lots of green and black dots everywhere, then changed to black screen with a white fuzzy feathered edge. I restored the phone and the Apple symbol came up and the white fuzz turned into a flashing screen showing my iOS desktop and icons. The flashing eventually stopped and my phone was 'back to normal'. I made calls, tested wifi and 3G data, youtubed, texted etc and everything worked perfectly.

Then the next day the screen died and it now shows the white fuzz and 'star field' of green dots but you can hear the phone working in the back ground, i.e. unlocking and typing etc.

Have search forums and Google and cant find anything like this, would the graphics chip be intermittent or screwed up? or memory issues? I keep thinking the OS has some play in this as well.

HELP!!!

Okay, so close to fixing this now, Olivia from another question about white screens has said blowing into the connector hole fixes it and it did! Must be some dodgy dirt connecting video out pins or something, but I'm happy now I have my phone back but for now have to give it breath of life!
