Bluetooth Antenna Amplification or Replacing Card

History

Hi,

I use my Macbook Pro closed on a Book Ark stand like a desktop computer combining with a Thunderbolt Display. So the Macbook is a little bit far for the magic mouse and bluetooth keyboard.

I want to know if is it possible to amplify the bluetooth signal because my magic mouse is not very responsive. When I put the macbook (always closed) closer the mouse, it works better.

Is it possible to mount the Airport/Bluetooth 4.0 card of the 2012 Macbook Series ? I think the range is better no ? Where can I find this card if it's compatible because I can't find it on this website.

Regards.

Greg.

Use a 3rd party USB Bluetooth Dongle & mouse connected to the display, much much easier. If you get the Dongle you might even be able to pait it to your magic mouse.

I've read that It's impossible to add a dongle when the Mac has integrated bluetooth. The integrated bluetooth has always priority...

No, most dongles will work without problems: see [https://discussions.apple.com/thread/399...|this thread} @ Apple Discussions. If you have a dongle that's not working either there are other problems or it may be a new chipset that isn't supported.
