After HDMI to DVI setup, HDMI won't work.

Ok so I have a pc lcd monitor which only has a DVI port. I bought a HDMI to DVI adapter and play my Xbox on there. When I want to play it on a normal tv JUST HDMI (no converter/adapter) it doesn't pick up a picture. I have tried resetting the resolution but it doesn't seem to work...

Just out of curiosity, how did you reset you Xbox?
