would you be able to fix water damage on a MacBook Pro?

History

I got not a lot, but enough to do damage, amount of orange juice on my laptop. Going to apple it was said to be priced 1200 dollars to be rebuilt, is there any way you could help me at a lower rate?

iFixit is not a repair service, it is a resource to help you repair yourself. By asking here and consulting guides and being able to purchase parts and tools you can do by yourself for less what would have been a costly repair job.

Good chance it can be fixed for much less. Was it on when the juice got spilled? What happened to the computer? It can most likely be cleaned using distilled water. We need to know exactly which MacBook Pro you have to direct you to a teardown. Did Apple open it up? What did they do?

Use NON Conductive Component spray which you could find at Radio Shack and generously spray down everything internal including the motherboard and all surrounding components. Allow the MBP to rest in a well ventilated area for 1 hour..it did the trick for my 2010 Macbook Pro i7 which I made add is working perfect.
