Why is my screen on my iPhone 3G staying white.

History

okay i can charge my phone up but when i turn it on its just a all white screen. i can slide to unlock the phone and i can hear it when it unlocks but the screen reminds white.

i don't know... but i'm having the same trouble and totally clueless what to do.. :( i tried those restarting steps but its not working out for me! i don't know what to do now..
