Replaced antenna and still have problems with reception

I bought a replacement antenna because i was getting really bad reception. When i swipe to use the phone the signal would drop and then come back after 5-10 seconds. I often dont receive calls because of the antenna. I jus replaced the antenna because i thought maybe that would help with the reception but it doesnt...I also want to add that the it seems i got the phone without the contact (Its the third picture with the red box in step 6 on fixing antenna guide)
Can someone help me?
