Screen has lines & faded after screen reassembly

History

I recently replaced a cracked screen in an Iphone 4 and now the screen is faded with black lines along the bottom. There's also a black dot in the top right hand corner of the screen. I can barely see the clock at the top of the screen and I have done the reset with no success. The phone resets as I can see the Apple logo appear but its very faded. Not sure what to do now. Can someone help?

When I put pressure on the motherboard the screen gets clearer but still has lines.

Keith, double check all your connections and connectors. Check for corrosion etc. Ultimately, not seeing your LCD but going by your description, it sounds like a failure of the LCD itself.
