iPhone 4: iPhone 4 water damage don't turn on and flash light always on

Hi everyone,

I have an iPhone from a friend who dropped his iPhone 4 in the pool during the holidays. It does not turn on. By reflex, he put in a bag of rice to try to dry. He left it in for two weeks. But still no sign of life.

Returning from vacation, he gave it to me to see if I could do something. I removed the motherboard and allowed to dry for another two weeks in another bag of rice.

After two weeks I put the motherboard to another iPhone 4. First sign of life possible. The flash from the camera lights continuously.

Do you think there is something to do with this motherboard or she is definitely dead?

Thank you in advance for your answers

Update

Hi,

Sorry for the response time. But the motherboard started magically after six months immersed in a bag of rice. It works well now. A little hot at times but it does not create problems.

Thank you for your help.

iPhone 4: Water damaged iPhone 4 does nothing but flashlight stays on. Any ideas

Went for a dip in the pool with IPhone in my pocket. Case kept most water out and it functioned for a short time afterwards. Now screen stays black and the flash stays lit. Still makes sound when charger is plugged in. It has spent 3 days in rice. Never attempted any sort of repair before but I am willing to try anything.

iPhone 4S: iPhone 4S Camera Flash Stuck On

I recently bought a water damaged iPhone 4S. Currently the screen is unresponsive to touch but displays perfectly but that isn't the real issue. The real issue is that the camera flash is permanently on, even when the phone is switched off. I'm assuming there is some sort of short somewhere but I was wondering if there was anyone out there who had a similar problem? Also, would I be ok to put an iPhone 4 camera in the iPhone 4S to determine whether it is a hardware issue with the camera or would that be wrong?

iPhone 4: Rear Camera and Front Camera Replaced, When turned on Flash went crazy

Hey all,

I have an iphone 4 at&t that someone brought me. Their cameras had quit working after screen replacement. So I did the jump with the circuit writer pen and replaced both cameras.

When I turned it on to test the rear camera flash went crazy and flashed rapidly while the phone booted up and then it stopped.

Now the shutter stays closed. At one point the shutter did open but it would only open on the front camera when switching to rear camera it would lock up. This is reverse from all of the other posts I have seen.

I have order two more cameras to try again. Any suggestions before i take these new ones out and put two other new ones in??

Also, AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS A PROBLEM GETTING THE CLIP BACK ON THE FRONT CAMERA?

What is the secret?

Nikon D70: Gaining access to flash components only

My flash quit working to I removed the top cover and noticed a contact that needed to be pushed in order for the flash to work, so I tested it by pressing the switch and the flash worked. Then I realized that there was a little grey bushing that was out of place enough so that it could not push the switch when opened. in the process of snapping that back into place a wire broke rendering the work to fix the flash worthless. I have read the instructions on how to take apart the D70 but it did not even mention the flash housing (possibly just the top)

So I was wondering is there a way to remove the top so I can repair the wire that was snagged without going through all the steps of tearing down the whole camera?

MacBook Air 13" Mid 2012 and iMac 27'' Mid 2011: Put the replaced Flash drive out of the MBA into the iMac

I know that its possible to replace the flash-storage in the MBA and its also possible to add a third drive to the iMac. But is there any kit to put the replaced flash-drive of the MBA into the iMac?

Cases aren't available (just a USB 3 from OSC) but are there any cables etc.? And is it admitted to mount the naked flash-module as it is in your guide to place a SSD behind the optical drive?

thanks a lot
