Getting no response from touchscreen after replacing

I just recently replaced the touchscreen in my samsung impression because the touchscreen would not work.After installing the screen,the touchscreen still doesn't work.I tried a restore,but am now stuck on the calibration screen.Any ideas?Thanks!
