Camera light green but not showing a picture

I recently replaced the cracked glass cover of the LCD on my MBP. While I was taking out the shattered glass some of it damaged the camera/wifi cable I think (when I put it back together the camera light would come up but it wouldn't show any image and the wifi didn't work...?). Thinking the camera wifi cable was to blame I got a new one and replaced it tonight.
Once again after connecting it all back up the camera light comes on but there is no image being displayed. The WIFI does work again but no luck with the camera issue...
Has anyone experienced this before or can someone give me a point in the right direction please???
