Upgrading MacBook Pro myself?

Text:

I am inquiring if the data doubler that was available for late 2011 MacBook Pro can be installed on the newest 15" MacBook Pro (not the Retna dispay)?

I am considering buying new and passing the 2011 to my son to use at school, but I want to replace HD with SSD and optical drive with the one shipped. I also want to upgrade Ram, but prefer not to do any soldering.

Can it be done easily?

Thanks for your help.
