I just tried this on my late 2007 15" macbookMacbook pro that stopped working the other day. When I turned it on, it would only spin the dvd drive and the sleep light would come on. I turned it on, turned it upside down, and covered it with some blankets. First time tried it for 1 hour and it didn't work. Second time, I actually forgot about it for about 2 1/2 hours, but after it cooled off it finally turned on! It does seam to be running a little slower than before, though that could be my imagination. We'll see how long it lasts.
*UPDATE* This fix only worked for about 24 hours. It's dead again.
