A silver, contact lense-shaped metalic dome is adhered on just the underside of your home button. The adhesive film is wrapped over the metalic dome to keep it in place under the home button. The adhesive film will dry out, loosen or shift from hundreds of home button presses. Once loose, it seperates from the back of the home button and may shift slightly, which causes "ghost presses" that will cause the device to spontaniously and eratic jumps back to your home screen. It goes to home on itd own and if you're in one of the apps; the "ghost press" may launch a call, app or command that's normally initiated by your physical pressing of the home button. The home button becomes jammed and you may have to press it multiple times to regain control of your device.
