Title:

Charging and Sync problems after screen replacement?

Text:

Hi, thanks for taking the time to read my question. I have just replaced the screen and battery on my iphone 4g and not have a couple of problems which is ultimately going to be my own doing!

Firstly... Phone boots up fine with no issues, battery is displaying 53% at present. When it is plugged into mains or laptop, instead of the 'lightning bolt' I get the 'plug' to indicate it is fully charged. The battery was 56% when I turned it on so it is definitely draining. Has been plugged in for a couple of hours now with it not increasing by a single %.

Secondly... When plugging into my laptop, the phone is temporarily recognized by itunes and as soon as I press the home screen button to check charge ect, it disconnects. It does also disconnect/connect at its own free will.

Have tried a new cables and checked all contacts and all appears to be in order. Can't attempt a restore as phone will not stay connected to itunes Any help would be greatly appreciated.
