MacBook won't boot at all
Text:
Hi There
I have a 2008 White Macbook 13.3 which is the dual core model. My DVD drive broke meaning that every time i booted up and had to go through a series of cluncking noises. So i took it apart and remove3d the drive as i don't really need it. After putting everything back together all booted up sweetly but i lost keybaord and mouse. So I took it apart again and all looked ok - the cable seemed fine? I also plugged in a USB keyboard and mouse and they worked fine.
Here comes the stupid bit - I foolishly plugged the DVD drive back in to see whether there was any type of relation to the keyboard not working but I forgot that the thing was still plugged in and running and in doing so everything stopped. So now it's completly dead :-(
So i'm guessing that i've blown the motherboard - Anyuone got any other views or adeas on what i can do next? is there anything i can do to veryfy this - could there be a fuse somehwere that could have blown?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Regards
Charlie
